Electrical Instrumentation Maintenance Technicians (359-291)

Verso Corporation is accepting applications to fill multiple electrical/instrumentation maintenance positions at the Androscoggin Mill in Jay, ME. We are looking for candidates who display safe working habits with an emphasis on hazard awareness to join the Androscoggin Mill team.
Install, maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment
Locate, diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation malfunctions
Inspect, test electrical and instrumentation equipment as required
Install hydraulic/pneumatic, electronic and other instrumentation equipment
Disassemble malfunctioning instruments and electrical equipment, troubleshoots and tests mechanisms and circuitry for defects
Assists with developing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs
Fully utilize all skills and abilities to work in a flexible environment
Performs general housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
Rate of Pay: Days $29.50 - $35.50 - Shift $31.50 - $37.50
(Wage is dependent upon proven skill level in our maintenance work system qualification process).
Required Skills
Job requirements & essential job functions include but are not limited to:

Lifting 50# or greater on a regular basisPushing/pulling up to 130 #
Climbing stairs, ladders and work in high places
Work around hazardous materials
Considerable amount of walking, reaching, turning and twisting, bending kneeling, stooping
Working in extreme temperatures including extremely hot areas
Work with radiation-type measurement devices
Configure and service process controls
Set up and operate conduit benders, tubing benders, test equipment, etc.
Must work with voltages up to and including 13,800 volts
Read and update blueprints, loop sheets and schematic diagrams
Use computerized Maintenance Management System for work order tracking, time entry parts procurement etc.
Work in close proximity of high speed moving equipment
Legible handwriting
Perform basic computer skills and understand computer reports
Comprehend and follow written procedures and policies
Regular, predictable attendance
Work independently or in a team, able to prioritize work and be a self-starter
Wear protective equipment and clothing when required
Required Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum age of 18
High school diploma or GED
Pass pre-employment selection/testing criteria
Valid Maine driver's license
Must be able to distinguish colors
Preferably possess two (2) plus years of pulp and paper (or industrial) electrical/instrument experience or have completed or currently in the process of completing a two (2) year electrical/instrumentation training program from an accredited trade school or apprentice program.
