Job Description We seek an addition to our Quality Team at the Androscoggin Mill. The immediate need is for a Quality Assurance Engineer, with career advancement potential within 1-3 years. This person will supervise the paper test lab staff, manage and maintain the related equipment and facilities, and lead quality system management. Additionally, this role will routinely monitor internal quality parameters, research and report on trends of performance, and participate in process troubleshooting as part of a team. Cross-training in product performance (i.e. customer complaint investigation and resolution) and product development is expected. Duties & Responsibilities Set/manage expectations of the 5 hourly employees, including safety Engage lab staff in mill operations Schedule/manage pay of lab staff in computerized scheduling system Order equipment and consumables for the paper test lab Maintain and create lab standard operating procedures Be resource for standard (TAPPI) standard procedures Manage maintenance and repair of lab equipment Manage retained paper samples Manage sample cutting/shipping of customer samples Ensure out-of-spec material is not shipped to customers Resolve/troubleshoot measurement concerns with production personnel Manage budget and spending for all testing-related services Coordinate periodic required testing, and special-request testing Maintain paper specifications and associated documentation Work beyond normal work schedule as necessary to fulfill position responsibilities Travel up to 10% Qualifications Qualifications & Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering, paper science, or related technical disciplines. 3
years of combined manufacturing and/or quality administration experience. Assertive and self-motivated, with a high level of confidence and accuracy Desired:
Paper manufacturing experience ISO compliance and/or FDA regulation knowledge/experience Statistical analysis and software experience Working knowledge of MS Office products Additional Information

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Technical Product Management, Quality AssuranceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
