Job Description Pixelle Specialty Solutions is seeking candidates for Electrical Engineering/Maintenance leadership positions at its Androscoggin Operation located in Jay, Maine. This facility manufactures specialty grades of paper and coated free sheet printing. This position will provide electrical engineering/maintenance support to the Maintenance & Engineering department in the form of engineering design, project management, troubleshooting, maintenance problem solving and maintenance supervision. Key responsibilities will be:
Promote a safe work environment including the administration of safety meetings, the identification and elimination of safety hazards, and the support and promotion of mill safety programs Support and promote reliability, including identifying reliability issues, formulate corrective action plans, handle suggestions from trades persons and operations, promote the Root Cause Failure Analysis Process, and serve as a technical resource Be a technical troubleshooter as necessary, and implement / manage identified actions Provide electrical/instrumentation engineering services necessary for the mill to complete their capital improvement projects and engineering service requests. Use sound capital improvement methods to prepare appropriate project cost estimations, provide electrical/instrumentation drawings, detail installation work scopes, order equipment through Purchasing, and oversee projects to completion. Perform as a project manager and execute capital projects utilizing the Capital Authorization Request (CAR). Complete preliminary and authorization level engineering studies, including detailed scope development and capital cost estimations. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving daily electrical/instrumentation problems with the mill's machinery and equipment Investigate and assist in solving chronic maintenance problems Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the mill's preventative and predictive maintenance program for area of responsibility Conduct periodic tours of the mill for electrical/instrumentation problems, conferring with production and maintenance personnel with regard to current jobs, making safety observations, and ensuring good housekeeping Ensure that electrical/instrumentation activities are carried out with the best overall value for cost, labor, materials, and asset availability Assist in updating and maintaining the mill's electrical and instrumentation drawings Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering - Electrical preferred (Not required) 5
years of experience in Electrical maintenance in the Pulp & Paper Industry Demonstrated ability to work with employees throughout an organization, excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills Knowledge of Power Distribution Systems is desired Additional Information

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
